  Customer Questions & Answers
Question:
 Hi,Can i use it with Yamaha MT-25?
October / 10 / 2017
Answer:
Hi, the piston could be too big. We suggest to check your master cylinder diameter . You can find the diameter printed under the MC's body. Then consider to move to a closer diameter.

Question:
I checked my mastercyclinder and, i just saw number of eleven. If it is that, it is diameter of MC, yes it could too big but i just want to improve my brake power and feeling. I looking more tough and more powerful MC. Do you recommend to buy Brembo PS13 or  PS15?
October / 13 / 2017
Answer:
I suggest no more than 15. How many pistons your caliper has ? Please send a new question specifying your bike model year, number of calipers and number of pistons.

Question:
Hi, I am considering the ps16 as a replacement for my Virago XV1100 which has two calipers and two pistons per caliper, so four pistons all together .Is this okThanksMark
October / 21 / 2017
Answer:
Thank you for contacting us through our website. Yes I confirm this part is correct.

Question:
Hi! I am running a classic Suzuki 1981 GSX750 with a 22mm handle bar. Will this cylinder be ok for my bike? Thanks a lot !!
August / 03 / 2018
Answer:
The real question is not if the master cylinder will clmap on a 22mm bar, because 99% of the motorclycles has 22mm bars (the end part) your bike included. The real question is if the diameter is compatible. To answer we shall know the diameter of your oem master cylinder and the diameter of your calipers pistons. As far I remember your bike use one single piston caliper then I'm not sure if 16mm will fit.

Question:
Hi,I am using a single disc with a Brembo 4 pad caliper (from the Ducati 999/749). Would this master cylinder work? Thanks
December / 01 / 2018
Answer:
Yes it will work.

Question:
Hi, is this Part street legal? Thanks
March / 27 / 2019
Answer:
This part is the oem replacement therefore street legal only for few Ducati motorcycle , such as Monster 750 / 900 for example. For all the other motorcycle is an master cylinder that can be installed to upgrade or to replace the oem master cylinder, Please note that only in few countries (for example Germany , Austria , CH) it could be requested an approval document that states the master cylinder is street legal for a specific motorcycle, in the rest of the world there is no need for any approval document.

Question:
In addition to the street legal question: I'm from switzerland so can I get this document from you?
March / 27 / 2019
Answer:
There is no document because this part is only street legal and an oem replacement for the motorcycles that came out from the factory with this part installed (for example Ducati Monter 900)

Question:
Hi, is this the best size for updating KTM 390 Duke 2013 4-piston front brake? Or should i choose smaller PS 15?Brembo RCS Radial is of course best option, but it is too expensive for my budget.
April / 29 / 2019
Answer:
This is the stock mc of Duke 620 / 640 and other KTM supermoto, then it is also correct for your bike because of your caliper size.

Question:
I am considering the PS 16 Brembo master cylinder to replace the OEM on my 79 Yam XS 750. Two calipers both with single pistons. Should be fine if not better than the OEM. Correct?
May / 21 / 2019
Answer:
Check the oem master cylinder diameter before . If it is 14mm or 15mm , this master cylinder is correct. If it is 11mm choose a 13mm. If it is a 13mm choose a 15mm .

Question:
Hi!I am converting my ktm 790 adventure from dual front disc to singel disc. Therefor i need new mastercylinder. Unfornately i can not use the 15 rcs because of the hand protector? I would like to have short level and also adjustable level. Is this the one? or what do you recomend? Also need brake line i think? Thanks
January / 06 / 2020
Answer:
We can't confirm 15RCS will touch or not, but as you can see there is a long lever and a shorter lever version of 15RCS , you may check dimensions of both 15RCS and PS using pdf included in every product page. We can't recommend about lever, we might be wrong, we can just tell you that radial and PS are very different master cylinders, different use, different feeling.

Question:
Hi. I’m building a special using twin Suzuki GS1100 brake discs and calipers. I believe the calipers are just single piston. Is a PS16 correct? I think a PS13 is too small and just for single disc.
February / 13 / 2020
Answer:
Depends how big are the pistons, we can't answer without the number and diameter of the pistons. For example in 80 there were some BMW with single pistons caliper that used 19mm and Guzzi that were using 13mm or less.

Question:
Thanks for the reply. The pistons in the calipers are 38mm in diameter. There are two pistons - one in each caliper.
February / 14 / 2020
Answer:
You can choose a 15 or 16mm brake master cylinder.

Question:
So which is best and what is the difference between 15 or 16mm?
February / 14 / 2020
Answer:
The difference is really small, there is not a best one , 16 is simplier more powerful

Will be replacing the clutch and brake master cylinders on 2003 Ducati 800ss. Which of the Brembo products would you recommend? PS 13 or PS15 or PS16?

The stock brake mc is 16mm you need a 16mm or higher. Stock clutch master cylinder is 13mm therefore you can use a 13 , 14 or 15mm.

Question:

I am using a Brembo P4-30/34 Caliper. Is this pump suitable?

Question:
Hello, I have a SH 125i from 2008, and I am looking to upgrade the master cylinder for better power and feeling. As far as I know the caliper has 2 pistons (27x31), and the original diameter of the caliper seems to be 12,8mm. Is the 15mm recommended? Do you recommend this master cylinder or maybe another? Thanks!!
May / 17 / 2020
Answer:
We recommend max 14mm diameter, over you will have problems with ABS

Question:
Hello, my SH125i does not have ABS, could you give me a link for a correct master cylinder in my case? Thanks!!

I am in the process of upgrading the brakes on my 2005 Ducati S2R 800 to goldline (twin 30/34) calipers+rotors. I am wondering whether the standard Brembo PS15 will suffice or whether you would advice the PS16?
September / 15 / 2020
Answer:
Two calipers requires at least a 16mm, it would be better a 17mm btw, like a 17RCS .

Question:
I want to upgrade the brake callipers of moto guzzi 1200 sport from p4 (30/34) to m4 (34/34). Is the standard ps16 cylinder sufficient?
February / 08 / 2021

I have a Aprilia pegaso Strada 650 (from 2007), that needs a new front master cylinder. Do you by any chance know the size of the original master cylinder, and what size master cylinder I could go with?
July / 21 / 2022

OEM size 14mm. You can use 14 or 15 or even 16 mm, the bigger will be the diameter the powerful will be the braking

Question:
I want to replace my old front brake master cylinder (15mm) and my clutch master cylinder (13mm) both are original brembo with reservoir. The bike is a 1991 Ducati 900ss with twin disc 4 pot calipers 30/34. Which replacement brake and clutch master cylinder would best suit this application. I don’t want to have to change the brake and clutch lines as these are new HEL performance lines.
October / 20 / 2022
Answer:
You can use PS 15 or PS 16 for brake and PS 13 for clutch. Please note the mc we sell usually have the mirror clamp, therefore you may consider to purchase also clamp without mirror hole or use the old ones.

Question:
Does this fit on the Ducati Scrambler Sixty2?
November / 19 / 2022
Answer:
Stock master cylinder is 13mm , we recommend 14 or 15 mm as an upgrade . 16mm would be too difficult to modulate.

Question:
I want to use this on my Moto Guzzi Le Mans 850 with de-linked breaks. It will then be used to break 2 discs front breaks with 38mm single caliper. It this master cylinder an good option?
January / 24 / 2023
Answer:
Yes it is a good option, stock mc is a 15mm, therefore 16mm is an upgrade.

Question:
Is this master cylinder suitable for a pair of p4 30/34 brembo calipers
February / 10 / 2023
Answer:
Yes it is. For exammple it was used on Ducati Monster 900 as stock mc with P4 30/34 calipers.

Question:
Hi. I have an Aprilia Tuareg 660 '22.I would improve the lever feeling (long travel and brake at the course end) and replace the OEM Brembo PS15 by this PS16. Have they the same housing and appearance?. Is there any possibility to go for a bigger diameter with the same look (I mean 17mm or 18mm diam?.Thanks for your answer.
March / 16 / 2023
Answer:
PS15 vs PS16 with reservoir, mean like the picture, are just the same, what changes is the piston diameter. With same look and bigger diameter there is nothing in the Brembo catalogue, there are radial 18mm.

Question:
I have a 1998 BMW R1200c and am going some custom work and was looking at this to replace the stock master cylinder, its Brembo brakes in the front, two calipers with two pistons each, is this a good fit?
April / 11 / 2023
Answer:
Depends of the piston diameter, btw if you are looking for a black master cylinder with integrated reservoir this part could fit. Also please note the mirror clamp could have a not compatible thread.

Will be fine from 13 to 15 mm . We may recommend a 15mm btw. 16mm could work but would not be modulable as much as a 15mm .
